Police forces use location analysis to direct police officers to precisely those areas where crime and anti-social behaviour is most prevalent, at the time of day when most incidents occur.  By visualising data, officers can see the trends in the types of crimes in an area along with demographic data.

Understanding the crime types allows police to allocate the right resources, equipped with the right tools, to the right place at the right time, reducing crime rates and increasing confidence levels of local residents.
