UPDATE: Sweet for ArcGIS Online Locking Server Intermittent Outage - RESOLVED

We are currently experiencing an intermittent problem which affects all customers using Sweet for ArcGIS Online. The behaviour a customer will see is that there will be no locks communicated by apps. This means users will be able to edit in the same area without being notified of each other’s edits.

To improve the Technical Support services we deliver we are making some changes to the way that you interact with us.

The next step in the evolution of the Technical Support experience is to retire the use of email for raising support cases, and you are encouraged to use My Esri as this provides the best user experience. You will also still be able to phone the Technical Support helpdesk. Whether using My Esri or Phone, to request Technical Support you will need to be an authorised caller in My Esri.

UPDATE (New Time): Esri UK Content change to HTTPS Only

IMPORTANT UPDATE. This change is now postponed until 11:30am on 1st of December 2020 (Please note the new time).

In previous articles we discussed the ArcGIS Online change to enforce HTTPS Only and how this may affect your ArcGIS Online organisation. This article explains what is happening to Esri UK content.

All of the Esri UK content is already accessible via HTTPS, as well as HTTP. At 11:30am on 1st of December 2020 (previously 11th November 2020) we will transition to providing content as HTTPS ONLY. If you are currently connecting to any of our services using HTTP you should start to update those links to HTTPS as soon as possible.

Mature Support for Raster Basemaps in the ArcGIS Platform

Esri have announced their plans for Vector Tile Basemaps to become the primary version of basemaps, so Raster Basemaps will move into Mature Support. During 2020 Esri have already moved several Raster Basemap services, and in July 2021 other Raster Basemap services will move into Mature Support too.

Support ending for Internet Explorer 11 & Edge Legacy browsers.

Esri now announces that end of support for IE 11 and Edge Legacy browsers will be with the December 2020 update to ArcGIS Online and the release of ArcGIS Enterprise planned for Q1 2021. This means customers will no longer get support with IE 11 or Edge Legacy specific issues for those product versions.
